Team Charity News
The board of Team Charity is happy to announce that our new non-profit designee is Comfort Zone Camp!!!  After several of us volunteered at the camp this fall and experienced ‘the magic of camp’, we could think of no better place to direct our efforts.  We are happy and proud to show our support.
What does this mean?  It means that every social event we have for the next few months will be to raise funds for Comfort Zone Camp.  All the proceeds from these events will be directed towards this incredible organization.  Click here for the first one on 11/30!
Comfort Zone Camp sponsors weekend bereavement camps in Virginia and New Jersey for children across the country who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or caretaker. The camps are offered free of charge to children ages 7-17.  Each camper is matched one on one with a ‘big buddy,’ and they experience a weekend of not only learning to deal with their grief, but being around their peers who have experienced a similar situation.  While there are tears, the amount of laughter and fun packed into this camp, is immeasurable.  As a counselor, I can tell you, it is an amazing experience.  For more information, please visit www.comfortzonecamp.org.
